Magazine MYSLIVOST
The magazine MYSLIVOST/GAMEKEEPING has been coming out since 1923. It brings professional information from the field of game management, game keeping, hunting, hunting cynology, hunting and sports shooting, and partially also from the branch of forest management and nature protection. The professional part is enriched with short stories, hunting tales, items of interest and information within a wide scope of game management activities of both domestic and international origin. Individual issues contain regular features like Items of Interest, From the Life of Czech-Moravian Gamekeepers Association (CMMJ), Legal Consultancy, Focus on Young Gamekeepers, Gamekeeper's Monuments and News. The MYSLIVOST magazine is disseminated through distributors throughout the whole Czech Republic and to Slovakia. The subscribers, who subscribe to the magazine directly at the editorial office, i.e. direct subscribers, are sent the magazine issues by post straight from the printing house, wrapped in opaque foil together with supplements Gamekeeper’s Pastimes and Hunting Dog. The absolute majority of the circulation, and also the part disseminated by distributors, go to long-term and regular subscribers. The surveys carried out have revealed that the MYSLIVOST magazine is read, apart from the subscribers themselves, by no less than two or three other persons every month. A great number of subscribers stick to the magazine in the second and next generation as well. About 70 % of its readers live in smaller towns and villages, more than 80% of the readers own at least one long gun, more than 50 % own a hunting dog, and nearly 30 % work in the forest management industry.
